Jennifer Buehler, Ph.D., of St. Louis, Missouri, is being remembered following her death on August 28, 2026, after a traffic accident while she was riding her bicycle. After graduating from Yale University, she taught English at Elizabeth High School in New Jersey and Plymouth-Canton High School in Michigan before earning advanced degrees at Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan. She later spent 17 years teaching in the School of Education at Saint Louis University, where she became known as a dedicated scholar and mentor with a deep commitment to young people and their education.

Away from her professional achievements, Jennifer was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family and the friendships she formed throughout her life. She was married to Mark Patrick for nearly 33 years and was a loving mother to their son, Ethan. She also enjoyed reading for pleasure, cycling, and counted cross-stitch, while maintaining a longstanding connection to Bear Creek Aquatic Camp.
